My Dad was at this rehab at least 4 times for various medical issues. The rehab, nursing, kitchen, and environmental services teams were outstanding. He received great care by an excellent team. Highly recommend this facility.

I chose Meridian at Wall as it is a CARF, which is an accredited rehab facility. I am a retired registered nurse and have knowledge of rehabilitation as a home care nurse as well as an RN who worked in hospitals. This facility lived up to my high expectations. Many facilities offer rehab services 6 days of rehabilitation this facility has 7 days a week of service. I was admitted on a Friday night and I had evaluations by both physical therapy and occupational therapy. I began several sessions a day that Monday. The physical therapy worked on mobility building my endurance and they were limited by a status of Non weight bearing on My operative leg. They helped me build my endurance and very thoughtfully adjusted therapy as required. They rescheduled my physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions so that I wasn’t overly fatigued. I could work maximally at each session due to reduced fatigue. My occupational therapy helped with transfers and ability to care for myself with dressing. My OT Sue was wonderful helping my husband feel comfortable with car transfers which helped reduce my spouse’s anxiety about caring for me safely. My experience with nursing was compassionate care and approachability . If I had concerns the supervisor was very accessible. It is hard for nursing given the shortage of nursing personnel. The staff kept up as best they could and I would take many of the nurses home with me if I could. Their protocol in the age of Covid protected my safety. I was more afraid of others visiting me more likely to catch Covid from those outside. Testing of residents and staff me feel safe. Housekeeping was meticulous . The concierge and activities were the best. Safety of residents came first and being in during the holidays the music provided by staff and chorale lifted my spirits. The psychologist helped me deal with situation at hand. Dr Therese was wonderful and came back to see me whenever my spirits were flagging. Finally the food I felt like I was in a 4 star resort. It was individualized by the registered dietician taking in account my request no no added sugar packed in water. While I didn’t specifically mention my physical therapist were all wonderful but I am having a difficulty remembering all the names. Nursing also had many staff that I can’t name all. I was so impressed with the physical therapists asking them if they worked outside of rehab because I wanted to continue that great care when I was in outpatient therapy.

I’ve been to this facility quite a few times and have always been treated by friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, kind and caring staff. Most of them have gotten to know me and whenever I get admitted they stop by my room to say hello. Most recently I was there for about 6 weeks with covid. I had to remain in isolation the whole time but received excellent care. When I was discharged they lined the halls applauding, cheering and calling my name in happiness because I had survived. It was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend this facility for all of your rehab needs.

I was in-house care for a week . The facilities and people within Hackensack Meridian Health Care Rehabilitation in Brick Twp NJ is phenomenal, HMHR is fully equipped to meet all your recovery needs I found the staff were very caring & friendly. , Lisa & Kelly are speech therapist who were very informative kind and helpful. The food was delicious , Each day the dietician would visit to explain the days menu. , if there was anything special I wanted she would arrange it. Day and evening nurses were very kindhearted. I had an arduous rehabilitation schedule. The HMHR staff made my time there special. The first person I met to help me at rehab was a very intelligent women, her name Mary, she was very good ,helped me to improve right away . Her focus was OT. The second OT therapist who helped me was named Michelle, Michelle was very friendly Michelle knew right away what to do, within the week I was improving. I was doing so well I was able to go outpatient status ahead of schedule. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable Tammy, Kelly, Regina, Kay, everyone within the health care center in Brick Twp. were very helpful. I may never see the staff again but I will never forget them and how they help me, I actually improved much faster then they thought I would. I would strongly recommend this facility. My last day is October 14th. I might just have to break a leg to go back to see them all again. HAHA… A very happy patient – Shirley Zarrilli. 😄❤️
